From the Heart of Pastor Terry Collins - Dec 2013 Newsletter

Pastor TerryPastor Terry

Pastor reflecting on 2013's outreaches.

Sitting here in my dining room I find myself reflecting on all that we have been able to accomplish as a ministry to honor the Lord for another year. It seems like we just started and our Thanksgiving Holiday is just ahead and will be past as most of you read this newsletter. Christmas will then be upon us and we will be starting another year of outreach. As I think about all that was done I find myself sooooo thankful to our Lord for placing His calling upon us. I thank our partners that have joined us for another year. Many thanks are extended to our board of directors who are so committed to this calling and our advisory committees who are always there for us.

The following is a brief update on the year 2013 from present going back to Jan. May the Lord bless you all.

Haiti Outreach 2013

There has been so much accomplished in the last few years here. The following pics will illustrate this years outreach.

Nov. 2013 Haiti team.

One of many services we have experienced miracles and conversions. Praise God!

Home being completed for 8 orphans. We are praying for the selection right now. They will be raised as family.

Dr. Steven Lint working on one of over 200 patients that sought medical care for pain. He was also able to adjust over 20 people that volunteer as staff for Samaritan Purse in Petit Groave.

Our bus is down and we took a diesel mechanic (John Morigi) to diagnose the problem. It needs a new computer.

Clara spent her time loving and teaching the children at school.

Over 60 pastors attended the conference better known as "The Threshing Floor".

Local Outreaches

Lucas Fund

The Lucas Fund was established to help children in our local area with autistic needs. We have provided funds for iPads so these children can learn to communicate through visual aids. We have an annual Christmas party at the Hardy gym at Nemacolin Woodlands for them. This year’s date will be Dec 7th, 2013. Check out the pics to give you an idea of what happened this year.

Last year’s Christmas party. Come and join us this year.

Our first golf scramble held during the Spring of2013.

The gathering for our first 5K run. What an incredible day this was. We even had a Haitian running in this event.

Our newest outreach is “the House of Hope”. A 3/4 house that opened in October and is a place for the alcoholic or addicted person striving to get their lives together totally free of alcohol and drugs.

Another “blessing of the Bikers” held at Jumonville. Our next one will be held June 9th, 2014

Another very successful sweet corn crop planted at the Char Rose Farm. Donated over 400 dozen to our local community.

Hay rides at the farm which are a popular part of every event we have. Come and join us in 2014 for a graduation party, family reunion, or just spend a day with us.

Who Are We?

DM Logo

Our logo says it the best. The trawler is a fishing boat that is steady and strong. The old ones had a mainsail on them to keep them steady in the storms that they had to navigate. We strive to be fishers of humanity, making disciples of all that are partnered with us through our various outreaches. The main sail on our logo represents the Holy Spirit who keeps us steady as we navigate through the storms of life.

A partner is a person, church, or organization that prays for us, joins one of our teams, makes a donation or any combination of the above. Any donation that you send us is tax deductible. We thank you in advance for your prayers and your support.
