Char-Rose News

Char-Rose Christian Retreat Farm is one of those very special places that touches the heart of people that have been here. Our camp fires, devotions, disk golf and fellowship bring people back year after year. Check out some of the pictures to see what happened this past summer.

This past summer Discipleship Ministries planted our first sweet corn field at Char-Rose Christian Farm.

Paviloin at Char-Rose

Char-Rose is a beautiful 200 acre farm that was donated to our ministry by the McCracken family of Markleysburg, Pa. The purpose for this awesome gift was to give our ministry a place where we could reach out to people bringing them closer to the Lord. Char-Rose is a place where people can leave their everyday lives and take some very special time to be with God.

Eric at Char-Rose

Meeting Eric was a blessing to me and all that met him this year at Char-Rose Retreat Center. He touched our lives with his songs, his testimony and his genuine love for his neighbor.

There is a lot of excitement with the volunteer staff of Discipleship Ministries. We are anticipating building six Adirondack shelters for out adventure camp. Our excitement is the hope that these shelters will be done by the spring of 2007. This will let us start to minister to the young at heart.

They were all together in one place… and there appeared to them tongues of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them… Acts 2:1-3. We were truly blessed with beautiful weather for our 2006 “Fire on the Mountain” weekend retreat. One of the comments I kept hearing from those that joined us at the retreat center - “I can feel God in this place”.
