With the Word of God as our standard, and the Holy Spirit as our guide, Discipleship Ministries aspires to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the church, community, and the world through worship, preaching, teaching, music, service and missions. We proclaim the Word of God through many different revivals, crusades, rallies, teaching seminars and mission presentations throughout the U.S.A. We would love to bring a team to your church or organization.
Sitting here in my dining room I find myself reflecting on all that
we have been able to accomplish as a ministry to honor the Lord for
another year. It seems like we just started and our Thanksgiving Holiday
is just ahead and will be past as most of you read this newsletter.
Christmas will then be upon us and we will be starting another year of
outreach. As I think about all that was done I find myself sooooo
thankful to our Lord for placing His calling upon us. I thank our
partners that have joined us for another year. Many thanks are extended
to our board of directors who are so committed to this calling and our
advisory committees who are always there for us.
The following is a brief update on the year 2013 from present going back to Jan. May the Lord bless you all.
On this New year’s day, 2013, take
a moment and think of your age. Are you
in your 20’s, 30’s maybe 50’s or 60’s. Whatever
age you find yourself in I would think that you would be willing to follow specific
directions to prolong your life.
Our ministry is preparing for a long hard, cold winter. With the economy getting worse we expect the needs of the food pantry to grow. We are preparing to handle the increased needs of the community. Help us feed the Hungry!
We partnered with Samaritan Purse in Haiti. Their engineers are currently helping our host, Pastor Eddy Sanvile with the cement preparations for the floor so it is ready when we get there. I look forward to this new venture. It will be a first for Discipleship Ministries. Keep on praying.
Char-Rose Christian Retreat Farm is one of those very special places that touches the heart of people that have been here. Our camp fires, devotions, disk golf and fellowship bring people back year after year. Check out some of the pictures to see what happened this past summer.
Check out the awesome looking rig below owned by Windy Acres Farm in Augusta, WVa. It is loaded with a dismantled building, over 50 bicycles, enough rough lumber to build 100 pews for a church, school supplies and much more. The rig is heading to Monarch Shipping yard in Florida where they will transport the trailer to Petit Goave, Haiti. The ship should be on its way as I write this note. Please accept our thanks to all of you that helped be a part of this outreach. Our prayer is that you will be blessed abundantly.
Statistics estimate that 1 in110
children in the United States have a form of autism, making it 10 times more
probable that a child will be diagnosed with it now than 10 years ago. One of
them could be your child.
I have written this book to give hope to those that are hurting from the pain of an illness, suffering from heartache, or finding themselves agonizing as a result of receiving a diagnosis of a terminal disease. This book has been written for those who find themselves living hopeless, empty lives as a result of grieving the loss of a loved one. I believe that there is an abundance of Godly blessings for all those that seek Jesus Christ' healing touch through the Bible.
"A Wilderness Experience With Jesus Christ" was written to renew and refresh the hearts of those that read this small book. I pray that those who find themselves living in a world of chaos, because of schedules or their routines, will find the peace and the full joy of Jesus everyday in their lives by adding the process of this reading to their lifestyles.
